Purging can be painful

Home / Purging

There are a spectrum of reactions to cleaning out a house room by room by room. Your possessions should meet one of two requirements: Purpose and sentimental value. We will carefully guide you through this process.

A new home may mean a fresh start. However, your new space won't feel wonderful if it's weighed down with junk you didn't bother ditching during the move. It isn’t always easy knowing what to keep and what to part with as we go about decluttering your home. Now's the time to purge your home and free yourself from your clutter!

Our methodology makes your process easier

We will question each item: Would you buy it again? Do you love it? Do you use it often enough to justify the space it occupies? If you say yes to at least one of these questions, the item has value for you in your new home. Everything else, we promise you won't miss

Damaged items should be thrown away or repaired if valuable. If you haven’t worn a garment in over a year, think about selling or donating it. With of medication and groceries, we will help you check expiration dates. Any item that has passed its expiration date needs to be tossed in the dustbin.

Sentimental value is important

Often, we have objects in our homes that have sentimental value. Perhaps they are gifts from loved ones, or mementos from an earlier time. As we sort through these items, we will help you answer these questions: Do you love and enjoy having these objects in your home? If you have no use for something, and it doesn’t hold emotional value for you, we will help you consider parting ways with it.
